It’s becoming more and more popular as an alternative to central heating, and opting for underfloor heating is a wonderful way not just to heat your home, but to maximise space (by not having radiators), efficiency, and, above all, control.
It uses conduction, radiation and convection to deliver a complete climate control solution that delivers much more even heat distribution than with radiators, which can waste a lot of the heat provided. In fact it’s estimated that underfloor heating can bring you up to 40% more energy savings. There’s also no noise – some radiator systems can be quite noisy. It also reduces dust and moisture content, both of which will reduce the numbers of dust mites – good news if anyone in your family suffers from asthma.
The cost is similar to what it would be if you had a replacement central heating system. Underfloor heating also works whatever type of floor you have, including wood, concrete, tiles, artificial materials and even carpet. Once we’ve installed it, we will then complete the floor using whatever materials and covering you prefer.
Once it’s all in place, we can then service your system as necessary, although modern systems require very little maintenance, and are designed for many years of trouble-free operation.
So if you’ve never considered underfloor heating, there are lots of reasons why it’s definitely worth a closer look.
